What should I do if I suspect that I have suffered a loss from wind and hail?

Call us and we will have a claims specialist conduct a thorough and free inspection of your home. If temporary repairs are needed, we will make arrangements to secure your property to prevent further loss or damage. Our specialist will let you know his/her findings during the visit.

Who should I call to report the damage?

If you have already reported your claim, an A+ Home Remodeling representative will assist you in the claims reporting process. At times, you will be given a claim number immediately. Otherwise, let you’re A+ Home Remodeling representative know when your carrier has assigned a claim number so that ha/she may assist in streamlining the process for you.

I have received my building estimate from my insurance company and I do not agree with the scoop of work in the estimate and/or the adjuster’s assessment of damages. What should I do?

Just remember that during a catastrophe, an insurance adjuster can have as many as 4 - 7 homes a day to inspect. Because there is a higher volume of claims than usual, many adjusters may miss things. Our representatives dedicate the time needed to make sure that an accurate scoop of damage is assessed and that you are given the maximum amount of indemnifications allowed by your policy. If your representative finds discrepancies in your insurance estimate, he or she will assist you in requesting a re-inspection.

Should I let my contractor see my building estimate?

To ensure that the scope of work includes all damages and that your needs are met at a price agreeable to the insurance company and the contractor, you should give your representative a copy of the estimate and authorize him/her to talk with your adjuster if necessary. Most adjusters welcome professional contractors who can help them finalize claims.

Why is my mortgage company included on my check?

As a lien holder, your mortgage company has a vested interest in seeing that the repairs are made to the property and they often call for an inspection after the repairs are completed.
